Breeding, showing and loving dogs have always been a part of my life -- German Shepherds and Rough Collies being my first breeds. I started raising and showing Pembroke Welsh Corgis in 1984 after I bought one as a pet for my daughter in 1981. Being so impressed with the beauty, courage and intelligence of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, I purchased "Terenelf's Cinnamon Bun" ("Kelsie") to use as a foundation for Dalarno Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
The home of Dalarno Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and Ringo, the Russell Terrier, is located on ten rolling acres in Culpeper, Virginia. All of our dogs are kept in the house as members of the family, and our litters are born and raised near all the activities of our home.
All of the Pembroke Welsh Corgis that are included in our breeding program have been certified free of inherited eye problems and canine hip dysplasia through the Canine Eye Research Foundation (CERF) and the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or Penn-Hip. In addition, our breeding dogs have been DNA tested for Von Willebrand's Disease (vWD).
I am a member of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Potomac, a regional club of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America, and am an AKC Breeder of Merit.
